Make It Yours Monday!!

Hello, Lisa here and Happy Monday! I’m so glad you joined me for another Make It Yours Monday! This week, the inspiration came from a cloud cut file I saw recently. I liked the shape, and the way they fit around a page. I started with my cloud paper punch, but it just was not the same shape. Then, I found my scallop punch and it all came together from there!!

I started this layout with a piece of  dark blue cardstock. I mounted my photo and project life card on first, a piece of ombre pink paper from the Fancy Free paper pad. Then, I added a piece of mint cardstock behind the pink paper, to tie in the PL card color.

I added atg adhesive in the center of my matted photo piece and placed it in the center of the page. I left the sides unglued so I could work with the paper punches easier. I took the square paper all the patterns from Fancy Free and punched scalloped circles from each of the squares. I cut them in half to have 2 of each. After I laid some adhesive under the photo mat (one side at a time so the photo mat does not stick to the others while your working!!) I lined up the punched scallops, making sure to not get 2 like colors together.

The light pink and teal sequins from the Mocha Mint Dream sequin mix were a great compliment to the colors I used in the layout. I lined the bottom of the photo mat, alternating the pink and teal colors. I added a teal bow from Heidi Swapp to the bottom corner of the Project Life card. Some Gold Heidi Shine and I left it alone!!

It was a quick and easy layout but I think it’s really a pretty design. I hope you will look around and find inspiration in different places, and Make it your own, to work on a layout for you!!!
