This Thursday is the 2nd of my Kids Scrapbook Classes at the Southwest Kenosha Library!! Here’s the example layout for the class. This weeks travel theme is “Vacation.” The kids will have plenty of time to decorate their original scrapbook pages with the flowers, gems & buttons, adding their own special touches! The big cloud by the “Memories” title is a great space for each child to personalize their Vacation page. For example, they can complete the title to read: Disney Memories.
June 9th was the first of three Kids Scrapbooking Classes I’m having at the Kenosha Library~Southwest Location. The kids and adults were great! Here’s the base layout I did for class.
After the kids chose their pictures, they arranged their page elements and then added the extras!! Buttons, squins & flowers, Oh MY!! Check out what they did!!
The next Kids Scrapbook Classes at the Southwest Kenosha Library location:

Here are the 10 Artist Trading Cards (ATC’S) I made for the Spring MW Swap! I’m participating with 9 other MW consultants around the U.S. After we all send them into Lacey, we’ll each be mailed a set of 10 different ATC’s to help show off the new MW products lines in the current MW Catalog.
I chose the 3 Bugs Dawson Theme Set for my ATC’s. I usually gravitate towards the girly papers and “fru-fru” so this was extra fun for me! I also added We R Memory Keepers Sew Easy Floss (Pinecone), Ranger Glossy Accents (one the dinos & polka dots), pop dots, buttons, and Cappuccino twine from The Twinery.
This is a great way to use your scraps and add them to a page as an accent!!
June is my first month of blog prize…. TBA the week of June 13th. July will be “Have a friend become a follower month”~you’ll have a chance to win a great assortment of summery goodies!
Well, this year my Mother’s Day photo shoot did NOT go as planned. But, I’m kind of glad it didn’t because now I have this layout to show just how stubborn our Sari can be (yup, she is her Mother’s Daughter!)
I used some great papers from My Mind’s Eye~Penny Lane (previous Memory Works Kit), American Crafts Kraft Cardstock, brown burlap string and green burlap looped string (coming soon to My Etsy Shop), Wood Buttons (My Etsy Shop), Tim Holtz Adage Tickets (current Memory Works), brown crochet trim, green mulberry papers, Sunflower Perfect Pearls by Ranger and 1 copper heart from Making Memories (a few years old).
If you have any mulberry paper, use it!! I used a watercolor pen from Stampin Up! to ‘draw’ my wet lines, cirlces or whatever shape I want. Then after it’s nice and wet, just tear it. It’s great to adding texture & depth to your projects! I also sprayed a couple of the cirlces for my tree with the Sunflower Perfect Pearls for little shimmer.
Have a safe & wonderful Memorial Day Weekend everyone!
Hi there ladies! This beautiful weather is making me extra cheery :-). I wanted to share a couple things with you before this weekend. First is the birthday card I made for our nephew Logan. He’s such a great kid and he and our Rachel are good buddies! I used American Crafts paper and cardstock, my Sizzix Texture Boutique for the embossed stars on the green shimmer cardstock and ‘happy birthday’ that covers the AC Star paper background. I used my Versa Color cats eye chalks to lightly rub over one of the embossed Happy Birthdays to highlight it, Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby) letter stickers and numbers and finished it off with the bakers twine tied around the star paper.
I used some paper I won during a Memory Works Challenge, flowers from the June 2010 MW Express Kit, Tim Holtz Adage Tickets, canvas that I cut, stamped and sprayed with Perfect Pearls by Ranger and a circle punched from an old Dictionary that includes the word and definition for “Outdoors”. Who says you can’t put flowers on a boy page, lol!!
Enjoy this great weather and watch for some blog prizes coming up in June!
