shadow box share

My lovely cousin Mandy and her Hubby Chris had their daughter, Scarlett, Baptized on Easter Sunday.  It was so beautiful and meaningful, as Scarlett was the first Baptism in the newly blessed Baptismal pool.  I have the utmost honor of being Scarlett’s God Mother, so I wanted to create a keepsake for Scarlett and her beautiful family.  I used a 12×12″ shadow box frame for Scarlett’s gift.  I love using the shadow box frames from Hobby Lobby, as they allow plenty of room between the glass and the project for lots of dimensional embellishments.  The frames are $19.99 and are by Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby’s brand).  They go on sale often or you can use your coupon on it.
Hobby Lobby products:  My Minds Eye Lost & Found paper, Prima Flowers &
Pearls & pleated pink ribbon.
Other products:  Maya Road Trinket Pins, “Delicate Baby” embelly (Soft Spoken?), Tim Holtz Lavish Trims (white sheer ruffle trim & mini rosette), American Crafts white rosette trim, Pop Dots & mini roses I won on the Let’s Scrap blog hop in February.

I tucked the mini roses in between the pretty white Prima Flowers.

I glued the Tim Holtz sheer ruffle trim behind the MME papers to create a soft frame.

There I go again, wetting down the edges of paper and rolling it to distress it up..
…. adding ink optional.

I hope you enjoyed this week’s quick share.  I’m almost finished with more Memory Works DT stuff & some baby shower invites so I’ll post those after the guests begin to receive them.  I’ve been project happy these last few weeks, with more to come!!

I need to make a baby gift for a little boy we will see for the first time next weekend. He is now a few months old, but spent a while in the hospital following surgery immediately after birth. I am so sure that he has everything he already needs, by now, and then some, but I believe I can reconfigure your creation as a boy gift and it will be unlike any other gift and very much treasured. I love this piece, but admire all your creations! Thanks for the idea, Jody!
