What about Wednesday Layout with Katty Miranda

what about wednesday blog headerHello friends! Katty here for another What about Wednesday. Today’s focus for me is multiple photos. What about Multiple photos? Well, we’ve kinda forgotten about them. We often go for that one perfect picture and then use a very similar one on another layout. I really wanted to focus on using more than one photo. A great way to do that is with a series of photos. I am using three photos of my niece and nephew. I made them black and white so that I could make this layout bright and colorful without my photos competing, this way, they truly stand out.

My idea for this layout began while I was playing around with my Shimmerz products and the fun Medium Glassine Bags. I used four of my Shimmerz, DreamscicleLemon DropSour Apple and Sea U in the Mornin with a Prima checkerboard stencil. I love the mix of the four colors.

I did the same to two of the Glassine Bags and placed then in the center of my page. For my background I used White American Crafts Textured Cardstock. I placed my three photos over the Glassine Bags and did some very simple embellishing. I picked a few die cuts from both the Pink Paislee Fancy Free ephemera pack and the Kaisercraft Chase Rainbows ephemera pack. I also used a few chipboard pieces from the Fance Free collection.

I took two triangle strips of a patterned paper from the Pink Paislee Fancy Free paper pad and added those to the top and bottom of my layout.

My title was made up by using an ephemera piece from Chase Rainbows, a chipboard piece from Fancy Free and white tiny letter stickers from Kaisercraft. This was a lot of fun to create. It’s very simple and I love how it turned out.

Thanks so much for stopping by! XOXO -Katty
