let's scrap

Use that pretty packaging!!

Hannahs little buddy Eco LO

It’s that time again friends!  I have another eco-friendly scrapbook layout to share.  There is very little ‘new’ product in this layout, which was challenge!  The second challenge… there’s no PINK!!  I know a few of you are liking that!

Here are the new supplies used: American Craft kraft cardstock, washi tape (My Etsy Shop), Scotch 2-sided tape, 2 Studio Calico People Wood Veneers, white Mr. Huey’s spray ink, yellow acrylic paint and alpha stickers/chipboard in the title.

Here are the recycled items in this layout:

~ small pieces of cardboard to pop up some of the stars

~ negative arows are from die cuts I did on my Cricut

~ the yellow woodgrain background is a Studio Calico die cut letter packaging

~ the hearts were misted using the negative from Imagination Projects Coaster (from 2006!)

~ the small hearts were painted on using a negative from a sticker sheet (baby powder was used on the back to take away the stickiness)

~the stars were punched from a small gift bag from a salon when I bought some hair product.

And now for some close ups!

Thank you so much for sharing part of your day with me!  I’ll be back in a day or two with some new Memory Works projects!

Happy Scrappin’!

Hi Jody, just making my rounds of the Team blogs. I really love your “green” ideas- I’m a big fan of recycling and tend to hoard everything from the pretty packagings to use in my layouts too. The longer I scrap, the more I have figured out that less is more. I bought sooooo much more when the scrapbooking industry first went viral– I started scrapping back in the day when you had no choice but to use real ephemera and I also used stuff like recycled cards, wrapping paper, my own painting or drawing, etc. I am excited to spread the green word with you! Awesome post! 🙂
