Today Layout with Katty Miranda

Hello friends! Katty here to share another 12×12 layout with you all. Today I am scrapbooking a photo of my boyfriend and I, I actually started out with another photo but as the layout progressed I decided to switch it out. The original photo was just too dark.

I began with White American Crafts Textured Cardstock as my background. I took one of the beautiful 8″ Chantilly White Lace Doilies and cut in into two parts, one a bit larger than the other. I added fun foam to the center to raise them up and give them some dimension  and placed them on opposite sides of my page, the smaller piece on the top left hand side and the bigger piece on the bottom right hand side. I used a purple twine and a mint green Jute and threaded it through the edges of the center of the doily.

I used some of my Shimmerz Paints mists in Peachy Keen, Heidi Ho Blue and Oh Say Can You Sea and with a brush added a few colors behind the doily. I also used the Peachy Keen and colored the center of the doily. I added a few splatters in the center area of the page.

I added two clusters of embellishments from my stash. I also added a few of the Love You Tons Felt Hearts in the clusters. I used an Amy Tangerine Kraft word thicker for my tittle. I scattered around the beautiful Sweet Pea Sequins  as well as the Morning Dew Drops.

I placed my photo on top of the doily on the bottom right. I cut my picture in a circle shape to mimic the doily. I then used the Sweet Pea mix as a border around my picture.
