Peakaboo glitter & stamped stitches~Krafty Hearts Day 3

Welcome back for day three of our Krafty Hearts Blog Share.  Today we’re showcasing the NEW Close To My Heart product in the Fall Idea Book and Catalog which goes lives August 1st!

Hey, hey Baby Cakes!!  When I saw this new line I was head over heals.  What else can I say, our youngest is 20 months and into everything  I just adore all the sweet giraffes and the gender neutral colors.  With 3 girls age 6 and under, I tend to naturally gravitate towards girly and baby themes.. tis my weakness right now!

Here’s my Baby Cakes layout complete with mini shipping tags peeking out from under my l distressed paper layers, the gorgeous brown glitter trim (self adhesive!), and lots of stamped little banners and stamped title on a large shipping tag!  I also used that adorable straight line stitch stamp all the way around my layout, twice.  It really does the trick for grounding your design.

I also used the cute little patterned triangle stamps from the kit to create the banner.  I don’t have the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge (yet) which coordinates with this kit.  So, I fussy cut all the banners out and popped them up with some foam adhesive.  In case you didn’t know this little CTMH Cricut fact… all the stamps outlined in red in the Idea Books have a coordinating shape in one of the exclusive CTMH Cricut carts!!  It’s such a cool way to really get the most from your stamps.

I used the Baby Cakes Workshop on the Go and still have a lot of supplies left over!  This kit comes with a large set of wonderful stamps, self adhesive buttons, cardstock, self adhesive glitter trim and the papers of course.   104

Here you can see the brown glitter trim peeking out from behind layers of papers that I distressed.  This is a simple and eye-catching way to use those supplies in small amounts so they don’t overwhelm the rest of the project.   106

Both sets of shipping tags are in My Etsy Shop in the Bags & Tags section.  They’re a fantastic addition to your scrapping supplies.  You’ve already seen me create a mini album from the large tags on Day 1.  My shop also has LOTS of Studio Calico Wood Veneers and some cute May Arts Chevron twill in 3 lovely summer colors.  Stop by and check it out.  I have a new 10% off coupon code out now, JTY10.

You can purchase any of the Close To My Heart products from my Website, starting August 1st!!  That’s coming up quick, so make your list today and contact me to create an on-line gathering or in person workshop.

Thank you for spending your time with me again today.  Be sure to stop by my 2 Krafty counterparts, Lynn and Kim.  They’re so talented! I can’t wait to see what they’ve created today.

Awesome layout! Love how you used the shipping tags. You are rockin those little banner stamps. I predict they will see a lot of ink in their future! Your layering style is just so YOU! and you really know how to create interest on a page, it’s all in the details. Of course, your darling photos are always fun to enjoy. I love that WOTG.
