Happy Sunday everyone!  I’m up on the Clique Kits blog today sharing this layout, which I created to link up the My Scraps and More Sketch Challenge blog.  I created my layout based off of this fantastic sketch and used my January Clique Kit, Tailor Made (featuring Amy Tangerine’s Stitched Collection!)

I love this sketch for a few reasons.  First of all, the title is right smack in the middle of the layout which I rarely do.  Second, it splits to photo collages in opposite corners of the layout.  This can be interpreted in so many ways:  lots of layering, big or small photos, etc.

Here are some close-ups of my layout.  You can easily see that I scattered a mixture of sequins from my Etsy Shop diagonally across my layout.  I used the flat silver sequins from this mixed metals pack HERE and the Dark Aqua sequins.  I conducted a little experiment this time. I usually go between using my Aileen’s Tacky Glue and Scrapbook Adhesives Dodz to stick my sequins onto my cards and layouts.  This time I used both to compare them side by side.  The flat silver sequins are adhered with tacky glue and the dark aqua sequins are adhered with my favorite Dodz (glue dots).  So we’ll see how this page holds up to our daughter paging through our 2014 family scrapbook!

Check out the glitter filled Amy Tangerine heart in the photo below!  I created this look by filling the inside of the foam heart with tacky glue, then carefully filling it in with a fabulous glitter from Stampin’Up!.  After it dried, I shook out the excess glitter over a scrap piece of paper and put it back into the container.  I think this particular glitter was discontinued awhile ago from Stampin’ Up!, but there are more beautiful glitters available now.  If you’re interested, please check out my friend EricaRose’s Stampin Up! Page HERE. She’s just fantastic!

BEAUTIFUL! I LOVE how you filled the AT heart with glitter! So creative! And interested in how your different glues work with your sequins..,i use liquid glue, too, and they fall off a lot once dry. Thinking about switching to glue dots…. Anyways, THANK for playing along with us at My Scraps & More Sketches!
