Onto my prep-work and layout for today!! (P.S. I’ll have another layout on the Clique Kits Blog this Friday with more The Cut Shoppe goodness!!)  I started with a few extra supplies, pictured below.  Then cut these fabulous cut files using my Neenah white card stock.  Next, I sprayed them with my Studio Calico Heirloom Blue Mr. Huey’s and let them air dry.  I just love this color!! While the die cuts were drying, I created a fun green watercolor by mixing the Heirloom Blue with Sunshine and about a teaspoon of water.  I played with the colors on my card stock base… just a little so the card stock didn’t get too wet.  I could have used a watercolor paper here, but just decided to use my Neenah.  I also splattered some ink right onto my background using the same colors.

Next, I built my layout on top of my watercolor background.  I added some fun clouds by stamping right onto my background with the fabulous chalkboard paint included in the Clique Kits Study Abroad kit!!  I used an Amy Tangerine stamp and masked off the sun-part of the stamp for all but one of the paint-stamped images on my layout.  Then I used the the Heirloom Blue Mr. Huey’s mixed with a little bit of water and painted inside my clouds.  I love how they really pop off my page!
