Brotherly Love Layout with Katty

Hello friends. Katty here to share a 12×12 Scrapbooking Layout. I am scrapping three pictures of my boys. These pictures were taken recently. I began with white cardstock and a Crafters Workshop stencil called Switchback. I used the Shimmerz Dazzlers from the Spiegelmom Scraps shop. I created strips of color using the Dazzlers in Sea U in the Mornin’, Sour Apple Green, and Lemon Drop Yellow. I mixed in some navy blue acrylic paint with the Sea U in the Mornin’ and created two different blues. I then cut out the strips and cut the design into squares. I placed the squares in a random diamond like pattern on a piece of white cardstock. I matted my photos with dark gray cardstock. I placed my photos across the center of the page and added three of the awesome Cork Chevrons on either side of the photos. 

I also backed the whole layout on a yellow polka dot patterned paper from the Studio Calico Lemon Lush Collection. I used Heidi Swapp Navy glitter foam thickers for my tittle and I also used Amy Tangerine turquoise thickers to write out the year. I added home made enamel dots in coordinating colors over the squares. To finish it off I used a blue metalic American Crafts marker to add faux stitching around my “diamond” of squares.
