ArtBooking in August Hop #4

Art Booking Blog Hop header

Welcome to the final week of Artbooking in August!!  This month totally flew by for me for a several reasons, including this amazing event!  It was all about celebrating the new and exclusive Close To My Heart Cricut Cartridge ~ ArtBooking!!

First a couple housekeeping details.  You should have arrived here from Jane’s blog HERE.   If you missed my post last week, go HERE.

Here is Adeline’s Blog HERE if you get lost along your way, or just want to start at the very beginning of the 30-something Artbooker’s on this fab hop!

Our mission this month was to create 4 different projects using the Cricut Artbooking cartridge and any CTMH paper pack.

1. 2 page layout.
2. Card
3. Mini Book
4. Home decor or ‘giftable’ item

I’m wrapping up this incredible month long hop with a ‘mini’ mini book for our nephew.  He loves to play video games, like every other pre-teen boy I know!  He also likes to keep track of his scores so I thought I’d make him a little game tracker book with pockets and pull out cards!  The Later Skater papers were perfect for this little project.  The mini book was cut at 7 inches.  Not alot of frills here.. its for a boy after all lol!

DSC_0306I ended up trimming off the notebook edges of these little pages so they’d fit into the pockets better.  I was able to save the punched holes along the edge to keep the notebook feel to the pull out pages.  I used several of the Artbooking Cricut Bundle Stamps to add these fun elements to the notebook pages.  I just LOVE this arrow!!DSC_0308 DSC_0309 DSC_0310 And here what it looks like with all the card pulled out slightly.

This mini-mini book only took me an hour to make!  Fast and easy, just the way this busy Mama likes it sometimes!
