ArtBooking in August Hop #2

Welcome to Week #2 of the Artbooking in August Blog Hop. Our mission was to create 4 different projects using the Cricut Artbooking cartridge and any CTMH paper pack.

This week I created a simple card, then covered a journal.  My focus is on the popular hexagons and the CTMH Liquid Glass this week.

I mixed two papers sets for my card, Buzz & Bumble and Surf’s Up.  I love the contrasting colors today in this card.  And I fussy cut “Fab” out of the Surf’s Up paper and coated the hexagons (cut at 1.5″ and 1.25″) with the Liquid Glass for a boost of shine.  I also added some foam adhesive behind the hexagon’s & banner shape for added texture and dimension.

You can really see the shine on this hexagon from the Liquid Glass.

 Next up, my Later Skater covered journal.  I used up every scrap of this paper that I had left.  I got lucky with a couple of the hexagon cuts too and they included a skull, bonus!  I also inked the edges of the hexagons to give them some more pop since these papers are pretty loud.
