Creative Cards With Karla – Mermaid Fun!

Hello friends! Karla here today with a pretty card and tag set featuring lots of adorable under the sea and mermaid images – and perfectly coordinated Let’s Be Mermaids and A Mermaid’s Tale sequins!

I layered on some older Kaisercraft sea themed paper along with a watercolour strip of blue paper for my card front. I used a corner rounder to round the right side corners of the card and paper before attaching.

These cute Pretty Cute Stamps digital images look great coloured up with Jane Davenport Magic Wand colouring pencils. I’ve been grabbing some stamped or printed out images along with coloured pencils and markers to colour while I’m at my daughter’s soccer games!

I love how well the Let’s Be Mermaids and A Mermaid’s Tale sequins matched! And I love how they give the card dimension and texture. I even used one of the awesome yellow flowers in the Summer Sunset sequin mix to tuck into one of the mermaid’s hair!

Inside, I added another watercolour paper panel printed with a digital sentiment and added a cute little turtle and some more pretty sequins. I’m totally addicted to adding sequins inside my cards!!

For the matching gift tag I layered some pretty papers and my images again, adding a doily and a button with twine. I used an American Crafts border punch to give my layers on the card and tag some more interest. A bit of Nuvo Crystal Drops along the border highlight the scalloped edge.

This sweet little gift tag and card set is all ready to give to my daughter’s friend for her upcoming birthday! And what little girl doesn’t like mermaids and sequins?!!
