Stamping with paints!! Krafty Hearts Blog Share Wrap Up

Kraft-y Heart Blog Share

It’s been a fun three days of sharing my new Close To My Heart Projects.  I think I’m sharing my favorite project today, saving the best for last!  Today, I’m sharing how I stamp with paints.  It’s pretty easy actually.  All you need are your stamps (wood mounted, acrylic or cling), a foam brush and some acrylic paints.

I started with the lovely Chantilly paper set and the June SOTM; A Flowering Bunch.  This stamp set is very fitting for this time of year, don’t you think?!  First, I layed out my papers and cardstock with my picture.  I used a 4×4″ Instagram picture of our daughter, Sari.  I just love this dress and matching headband!  I wanted to break up the color with some black and white, but not TOO much.  I added some torn pieces of the black and white script paper from the For Always paper set.  It also seemed to help ‘tell a story’ about this photo with the script writing.  I like to look for things like that to add into my layouts.. just a tip for you there!

Next, I stamped a bunch of floating flowers that lead from the edges of my layout, into my focal point.  I adorned most of the flowers with some CTMH Clear Sparkles and the Chantilly Fabric BadgesThese are very similar to vintage buttons, only they are adhesive backed and ready to adorn your scrapbook page or any other project you have in mind.

I love this flowering border stamp, but I didn’t want to stamp it black or color in all the petals and leaves either.  This scrapper has to find ways to create her layouts fast!!  Any workin’ Mamas out there can relate, I’m sure.  So, instead I stamped the border with white acrylic paint.  You can see that I layered different pieces around my photo.  You can go HERE to learn how to create easy layers on your projects.  NOTE: I wash off my stamps right away so the paint doesn’t dry in all the crevices.

This lovely stamp set is only available this month!! So, don’t delay and pick one up today.  You can order directly through my website HERE.  The June Stamp Of The Month is $17.95, or only $5 with a $50 order.  That’s a fantastic deal.  Host a party, on-line or in person, and earn FREE products fast!
