Girls Weekend 8.5×11 Layout with Sarah

Hello SMS fans! It’s Sarah on the blog today with a super fun 8.5×11 layout documenting a girls weekend that I went on.  I grabbed some of my One Canoe Two Hazelwood collection and a bunch of goodies from the SMS shop and got started!  Here is my layout for today:

I started with a 12×12 piece of American Crafts Textured White Card Stock and cut it down to 8.5×11.  I cut a 5×8.5 piece of teal patterned paper from the collection and a 4×8.5 piece of the pink patterned paper.  I tucked the gingham branding strip under the teal section.  I also tucked part of a Chantilly Lace 8″ Doily under the gingham strip.

I filled a Small Glassine Bag with some of the Strawberry Bubblegum Sequin Mix and sewed it shut with my sewing machine.  I used my EZ Runner Grand to adhere it to the back 4×4 photo and popped it up on adhesive dots.

I added ephemera chipboard pieces from Hazelwood and a button from Oasis.  I also grabbed a gold leaf from the Lake Me Away Thicker pack and a gold brad from Happy Place.  I found an old checkered tag from the Gather collection and added it behind my photo with a bit of gold bakers twine from The Twinery.

I also used a few puffy stickers from Hazelwood.  I used the new Oasis Thickers in kraft with gold dots for my title and I stuck the “Weekend” word on from the Take Me Away Thickers.

I used my Maggie Holmes roller phrase stamper to add the sentiment in black Staz On.  I also gave the layout a good splat of Heidi Shine in Gold.  I embellished with enamel dots and Kaistercraft gems.

I hope you have enjoyed my layout for today!  Look for more from me the last Sunday of the month for my last installment of “Shake It Sunday!”

Shine Bright 8.5×11 layout with Sarah!

Hello SMS fans!  It’s Sarah on the blog today with a super fun 8.5×11 layout to share with you!  I was feeling very inspired by the new Rockin’ Pink Ombre Sequin Mix, so I grabbed a bunch of Crate Paper Cute Girl and some goodies from the SMS shop, and got started!  Here it is:

I started with a 12×12 piece of American Crafts Textured White Card Stock and cut it down to 8.5×11.  I also used a piece to cut out a Lightbulb Silhouette Cut File from Hip Kit Club.

I did some packaging technique using some Shimmerz Spritz’s in Cotton Candy and I did a few splatters in Well Blue Me Down.  I also added a few big splatters of Heidi Shine in Gold.

I backed the Lightbulb Cut File with a bit of vellum and filled it with some of the Rockin’ Pink Ombre Sequin Mix.  I also glued a few of the individual sequins from the mix on the outside of the lightbulb for extra sparkle!  I layered a White Lace Paper Doily and a Small Glassine Bag behind my photo, alternating them with layers of patterned paper.  I used my EZ Runner Grand to adhere the layers together.

I cut the ‘sun’ part off of the ‘sunshine’ word Thicker from the Page Evans Take Me Away collection and used it as my title.  I also grabbed some old black and white chipboard Thickers from the Saturday collection from Dear Lizzy.

I added a ton of embellishments and a couple of Hot Pink Heart Felties around my photo.  I included a wood veneer ice cream cone and a few tiny word stickers too!

Finally, I added a few puffy stars, metallic stars and a few enamel dots from my stash.  I typed out my journalling on my WRMK Typewriter and glued it down with some Tombo Mono Aqua Glue.

I hope you have enjoyed my quick and fun layout today!  Look for more from me next week on the blog!

Shake It Sunday with Sarah

Welcome back to another Shake It Sunday!  Today I am sharing a fun 8.5×11 layout featuring some of the gorgeous sequin mixes in the SMS shop.  I got to bust out a ton of new releases for this layout!  It was so much fun!  Here it is:

My daughter and my mother spent spring break visiting relatives in Florida and they came back with a lot of gorgeous pictures for me to scrap!  I opened up new packs of Dear Lizzy Lovely Day, Maggie Holmes Chasing Dreams, Shimelle Little By Little, Crate Paper Oasis, and Pinkfresh Studios Dream On.

I started with a 12×12 piece of American Crafts Textured White Card Stock and cut it down to 8.5×11.  I did a little mixed media packaging technique with Shimmerz Creameez in Refresh Mint and I did a few splatters in Piggy Pink.  Then I punched out a bunch of circles from patterned papers in 3″. 2″ and 3/4″ sizes.

I arranged the circles in a diagonal direction and adhered them with my EZ Runner Grand.  I tucked a 4″ Paper Lace Doily and popped my photos up on adhesive foam dots.  I added a Cloudy Days Feltie and adhered it with a couple Tiny Attacher staples.

I filled a Mini Glassine Bag with some of the Strawberry Bubblegum Sequin Mix and sewed it shut with my sewing machine.  I tucked it under on of my pictures.  I added the title and started embellishing.

I stamped the “Hello Beautiful with my Maggie Holmes Gather roller phrase stamper.  I added a bunch of enamel dots and gems from my stash.  I also added two button embellishment and a couple Pinkfresh Studios puffy gold hearts.  Finally, I gave it a good splatter with Heidi Shine in Gold.

I hope you have enjoyed my latest edition of Shake It Sunday!  You can see the YouTube video here:

February Fun 9×12 Layout with Sarah

Hello SMS fans!  It’s Sarah on the blog today and I’m sharing a 9×12 layout documenting February.  I have changed the way I document this year and have also changed format.  I call it  “No Rules, Just Fun!”  No keeping track of week numbers or stressing out about not taking enough pictures every week.  I simply photograph what I want and print my photos when I want.  Here is my last page documenting February of 2017:

I started with a 9×12 piece of patterned paper from Messy Box, I grabbed my Studio Calico kit, Citrus Twist kit and a bunch of goodies from the SMS shop and got crafting!

I filled a Small Glassine Bag with the new Rockin’ Pink Ombre Sequin Mix and sewed it shut with my machine.  I used Red Tape to adhere the “BRRR!” from Elle’s Studio.  I typed out some journalling on my new WRMK Typewriter and added Blustery Day Felties, Perfectly Pink Felties and some Corky Flakes.

I adhered my journalling cards and photographs with my EZ Runner Grand.  I also ran my sewing machine over the felt snowflakes for added texture.  I hand wrote some journalling using my Ali Edwards Fine Line Pen.

I also made a 4×6 insert and used half of a Corky Flake and half of a Blustery Day Feltie.  Here is the obverse:

Butterfly Charm 8.5×11 Layout with Sarah

Hello SMS fans!  It’s Sarah on the blog today with another 8.5×11 layout to share with you.  I have been loving doing layouts again, and with all of the new goodies in the SMS shop, I have been feeling very inspired!  Here is my layout for today:

I had been hoarding the beautiful Millie & June collection from Fancy Pants for a long time, and after I saw the amazing new Pandora’s Ombre Sequin Mix,  I knew I had to crack into it!   I started with a 12×12 piece of American Crafts Textured Card Stock.  I cut it down to 8.5×11 and grabbed my Millie & June goodies, a bunch of stuff from the shop, and a pack of Chipboard Butterflies from Creative Embellishments and got started.

I popped my 4×6 photo up on adhesive foam dots and tucked a 4″ White Paper Lace Doily under it.  I then filled a Mini Glassine Bag full of the Pandora’s Sequin Mix and sewed it shut with my sewing machine.  I glued one of the butterflies from Creative Embellishments on top of it and added the “Charm” word embellishment from My Mind’s Eye,

I tucked in bits of ephemera, tags and puffy stickers from Millie & June and adhered them with my EZ Runner Grand.  I added a tiny tassel from Maggie Holmes Gather by winding it onto a mini gold paper clip from Michael’s.  I also added enamel asterisks from Dear Lizzy enamel Thickers, gold sparkle hearts from Crate Paper Cute Girl and puffy dots from Mille & June.

I finished it all off with a generous splattering of Heidi Shine in Gold.  I added the date using my Becky Higgins Roller Date Stamper and Staz On Ink in Black.

I hope you have enjoyed my latest layout!  I sure have been enjoying doing them again!  Look for more from me on the blog again next week.

Shake It Sunday with Sarah!

Shake It Up Scrapbooking

Welcome back to another Shake It Sunday!  The last Sunday of every month I make a fun YouTube video showcasing a quick and creative way to use the gorgeous sequin mixes from the SMS shop!  Today I am sharing a 9×12 February title page!  Here it is:

February Page

I have changed the way I document in 2017 and switched not just my format, but also how I document.  I am no longer doing traditional Project Life.  I call it my “No Rules, Just Fun!” approach!  I simply print pictures and tell the stories that I want to tell during the month.  I have also subscribed to Messy Box and the Studio Calico Documentor Kits.  I have been loving how I can add SMS product into my spreads too!

IMG_1858

Here is my Title Card.  I added the rubber word from Studio Calico and stamped the dates of the month on it.  I used some Maggie Homes Thickers from Gather to add the 2017.  I also gave it a splash of Heidi shine in White.

I filled the pockets with different elements and textures.  From cork, to wood and rubber, and even a gorgeous flair from Accent Scrapbooking!

Of course, I filled a couple of pockets with sequin mixes from the shop!  Here, you can see a close up of a gorgeous Blustery Day Feltie!  It adds so much texture!

Splash Pad with Sarah

Pockets Of Your Life

Hello SMS fans!  It’s Sarah on the blog again today and I have a fun PL spread to share with you all!  I am working hard at catching up on my PL from last year and here is a two page spread documenting a trip to the splash pad.  I grabbed my left over summer collections and a bunch of goodies from the shop and got started!  Here is my layout:

Splashpad A

Splashpad B

My leftover summer stash has Dear Lizzy Happy Place, Paige Evans Fancy Free and Amy Tangerine Better Together.  I started with my title card, as it will set the tone for my whole layout.  Here it is:

IMG_1734

I added a 3×6 piece of Medium Glassine bag to a 4×6 piece of patterned paper from Happpy Place.  I sewed it on with my sewing machine.  I added a word Thicker from Amy Tangerine and some glitter Thickers from Dear Lizzy.  I embellished with enamel dots from Doodlebug and a Cork Confetti Star.

IMG_1736

I embellished my 3×4 pictures with gold tiny word stickers from the DIY Shop.  I added a rubber charm from Amy Tangerine to the 3×4 filler card and sewed it on with my sewing machine.  I added a Cork Confetti Star to one of the 3×4 pictures and an Always Aqua Heart Feltie to the 4×6 picture.

IMG_1738

I took some really fun pictures at the splash pad that day, and I actually didn’t embellish all of the photos in spread!  Here, I simply added a tiny word sticker and a stitched boarder to the 3×4 filler card.

IMG_1740

I filled a Small Glassine Bag with some of the gorgeous 2 Cool 4 U Sequin Mix and sewed it shut with gold thread on my sewing machine.  I added an Amy Tangerine die cut tag on top and popped it up with adhesive foam.  I added a few enamel dots and gems, a Cork Confetti Star and a flair from Accent Scrapbooking.  I did a similar technique on a 3×4 filler card and simply added some white word Thickers and enamel dots.

IMG_1744

I cut a 3×4 piece of Medium Glassine Bag and added it to this 3×4 piece of patterned paper from Fancy Free.  I added a word Thicker from Amy Tangerine and a pineapple sticker from Dear Lizzy.  The label is from Pretty Little Studio.

IMG_1746

I was so excited to type my journalling with my new WRMK typewriter!  It works so well!  Here, I added a strip of Always Aqua Heart Felties and sewed it on with my sewing machine.

IMG_1748

Here again, I tried to not over-embellish my photos and let them speak for themselves.  I simply added another flair from Accent Scrapbooking, tiny word stickers and an Always Aqua Heart Feltie that I adhered with my Tiny Attacher.

IMG_1750

I used half of a 4″ Gold Foil Doily to createan embellishment cluster on top of on this 4×6 piece of patterned paper.  I added a camera sticker from Dear Lizzy, a brad and more gold glitter Thickers.

I hope you have enjoyed my latest PL spread!  I am having fun getting caught up!  Look for more from me this month!
