Scrappy Friday – Happy Birthday America

Hello Creatives!

Here I am with July second week challenge : Scrap a birthday you normally wouldn”t…

I immediately took the opportunity to celebrate the American National Day…. And here is my page. I find it quite ironic that I’m publishing it on July, 14th, which is France National Day. As if to highlight the link between our two countries!

Why did I decide to pay a tribute to America?

First because this is a country I’ve already visited, and which I will visit again (next trip is scheduled for April, 2018, I’m sooooo looking forward to it!!!)

Then, because I’m an English teacher and I’m in love with the American language even though its accent is quite hard to get used to at first.

Then, America is the first country to have trusted me as far as scrapbooking is concerned and enabled me to be part of Creative Teams. Thus, I am now so happy to have virtually met talented and nice American scrappers.

To make my page, I decided use the Honor Guard sequins, because of their color, obviously.. I also used blue and red texture paste which I spread on numbers and stars.

Then I decorated a Birthday card with the sequins and added some felt hearts and cork stars. I also added a flair, again, using it as its colors perfectly matched my theme.

Then I used various stamps to fill the empty spaces.

Hope you had a wonderful 4th of July, see you next week for a brand new Scrappy Friday!

Love from France,

Christine
